Not the best of goals, not by a long way but this goal goes down in United folklore.
What is beautiful about this goal was summed up by O’Shea in his interview after the game
“The 90th minute at Anfield, in front of the Kop . . .Gary Neville’s just told me that is his dream and I’ve just gone and done it”
Also love the celebrations after the goal, especially the image of Gary Neville in the arms of Edwin Van Der Saar as he salutes the travelling United fans. Class.
brilliant! I think it’s worth mentioning that United were down to 10 men and this was scored in injury time… typical United!
Awesome moment this. Getting battered by the dippers only to snatch it at the last minute was amazing.
