So despite the fans dreams of a huge win and some vital goals clawed back on the City goal difference, United did a professional job and got the 3 points to ensure the title race went to the last day.
They showed signs of quality but the game fizzled out and the players settled for the points and the reality that scoring a bucket load was not going to happen.
Here are this weeks Beautifully Red top 5
1. Rooney backheel, Young 1-2

United started the game well, playing with a pace that was perfectly demonstrated here by MOTM Ashley Youngs’ burst from our half.
2. Counter attack

United are at their very best when playing quick counter attacking football. The counter was great and only some great defending kept the ball away from Young tapping it in at the back post
3. Young Skill

Young, our most dangerous player on the day executes a lovely Cruyff turn and then a little flick past the next defender. Unluckily for him he ran out of room and the next defender got it out of touch.
4. Valencia control, Carrick pass, Rooney chance

Lovely touch from Valencia who drives forward and knocks into Carrick who plays a beautiful first time pass into Rooney who misses a great chance.
5. Berbatov, Cleverley 1-2 and chance

What I really love about this is seeing a CM driving forward and getting himself in the box to have a shot. If Berbatov does leave this summer, this lovely pass would be his last piece of quality at OT.

Phil Jones’ face when he takes the throw in on the Bonus Hernandez chance is world class.
The Berba-Cleverley clip was a final reminder of Berbasex.
Brilliant stuff as always.
Cheers mate
Phil Jones makes epic faces all the time! Ha
The one De Gea save is missing. When he stopped it with his leg and got the hands to it afterwards.
Not missing, just not picked mate.
