So after a weekend of watching the rest kick off their Premiership season it was time for Man Utd to start theirs with a tough away game against Everton.
Manchester United handed a league debut to summer signing Shinji Kagawa, whilst fellow new boy Robin van Persie started on the bench.
The game didnt go as we had hoped with Everton running out 1-0 winners thanks to a goal and MOTM display from Marouane Fellaini. Away from the result there was some clear summer rust on some of our players but we had several bright moments, and as always Man Utd produce some moments of beauty for us to enjoy. Here are my top 5 GIFs
1. Shinji Kagawa touch and pass GIF

Shinji Kagawa was one of the brightest features of the game for Man Utd, always looking classy and dangerous when on the ball. Here he shows off his beautiful touch before a lovely outside of the boot pass for Wayne Rooney.
2. Patrice Evra diving header pass GIF

High dropping ball sees Patrice Evra pull out a brilliantly controlled diving header across the pitch to the free Antonio Valencia. I love me an inventive pass.
3. David De Gea Save

David De Gea had a brilliant game for Man United. He kept United in the game with several key first half saves, this being my pick of them. Leighton Baines superb free kick is heading into the top corner as De Gea dives to his left and gets a nice strong palm on the ball to deflect it wide.
4. Paul Scholes tackle and ‘on the floor’ pass

Its not very often a Paul Scholes tackle makes it on this blog but this was a crunching tackle that not only did he win, but then played a cheeky little pass whilst on the floor to start an attack. Kagawa finds Rooney who almost finds an on rushing Tom Cleverley.
5. Wayne Rooney ‘Megs’

Smart interception from Tom Cleverley sets Rooney away who runs at the Everton defence. He brilliantly nutmegs the defender to get into the box and his cross is not far away from the on coming Kagawa or Nani.
