Manchester United kicked off their Champions League campaign with a hard working 1-0 win over a very good Galatasaray side. In an open game there was plenty of action and chances, but the game was won early thanks to a wonderful Michael Carrick goal.
After their struggles in Europe last season, Man Utd will be pleased to start with a clean sheet and 3 points.
My Beautifully Red Top 5 GIF moments are…
1. Patrice Evra skill, Paul Scholes Pass

Two nice pieces of skill by Patrice Evra see him get past 2 men before laying the ball off to Paul Scholes, as the crowd urge him to shoot he pulls out a stunning outside of the boot pass to the unmarked Antonio Valencia on the wing. Class.
2. Antonio Valencia double nutmeg

Antonio Valencia shows off his skills as he nutmegs not 1 but 2 different defenders as he slices through the Galatasary defence.
3. David de Gea Saves

Man Utd will look back and thank De Gea for keeping them in this game as Galatasary broke and looked certain to draw level, the Spanish Keeper did what he does best, produce brilliant saves.
4. Shinji Kagawa touch

Despite getting a blatant shove in the back as the ball went skywards, Kagawa uses his strength to hold his position and control the ball beautifully before passing the ball over his shoulder to Valencia. More lovely play by our August Player of the Month.
5. Robin van Persie flick

This is becoming a regular feature already on this site as Van Persie displays how clever a footballer he is with a delightful little flick pass to present Kagawa a shooting chance

Some good moments, that partnership between RVP and Kagawa is growing stronger by the week.
Certainly is. Nani linking well with both too!
Nani was piss poor in the game vs Galatasaray gave the ball away too much
Also created the most chances for United in the game.
Nani 5, RVP 4, Kagawa 3, Scholes 2, Carrick 1, Welbeck 1
Minor nitpick: It’s Galatasaray, with an ‘a’, not “Galatasary.”
Ah thanks!
Great footage. By the way, there’s a great new book written by Untied fan about the later Ron and early Fergie years. http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B008X9P06O
Wow, liking the Nani and Kagawa show. Nani did well apart from his spot kick.
Great work.
That pass by Scholes in 1, incredible.
