September saw Man United pick up 5 wins on the bounce before a disappointing defeat to Spurs to end the month.
The amazing comeback win versus Southampton and a victory away at Anfield were high moments of the month and several players have really shone.
Robin van Persie has scored vital goals and Rafael who won the Fans Player of the Month on the official website to name a couple, however the Beautifully Red Player of the Month for September is Paul Scholes.
Here are my top 5 Paul Scholes GIFs from September…
1. Tackle and ‘On the Floor’ Pass v Wigan Athletic
Not known for his great tackling, he pulled out this crunching tackle to win the ball back inside the Wigan penalty box and then had the presence of mind to pass the ball out wide whilst off his feet and get United on the attack.
2. Goal versus Wigan Athletic
After a frustrating goalless first half, Scholes was in the right place at the right time to get United in front, a platform that saw the Reds go on and score another 3 times.
3. Pass v Galatasaray
There are not many more beautiful places in football than the outside of Paul Scholes boot. After some great play by Patrice Evra, Paul Scholes is teed up to let fly but instead hits a gorgeous pass first time with the outside of his boot to Antonio Valencia. Love love love.
4. Pass versus Liverpool
Theres that outside of his boot again. With a defender approaching he, almost without looking, lofts a stunning outside of the boot pass out wide to Valencia.
5. Skill versus Liverpool
With everyone expecting him to shoot, Scholes realises a defender is in for the block and simply lifts the ball over the sliding defender and moves dangerously into the Liverpool area.

I love watching his movement on the second clip. Wait for the first cross to draw all the defenders out of position, then move into the box behind them while they’re all running back in to position for the second ball… he makes it look so ridiculously simple.
