Manchester United 2 Reading 1 – Five Beautiful GIF Moments
Manchester United progressed into the Quarter Finals of the FA Cup with a 2-1 win at home over Reading. They will face either Chelsea or Middlesbrough in the next round.
The Reds rested a host of players with a trip to QPR at the weekend and the up coming Champions League 2nd leg with Real Madrid in mind.
United started quick and bright but after not scoring with some lovely moves were frustrated by a Reading side looking dangerous from set pieces. The Reds eventually over came them with 2 second half goals from Nani and Javier Hernanez to continue this seasons FA Cup run.
Here are my favourite GIF moments from the game…
1. Nemanja Vidic header
With Reading look to exploit the much publicised weakness of De Gea, the Reds needed their defenders to stay strong. Luckily for United this is a challenge always greatly accepted by their captain. This header with the ball dropping in the 6 yard box and a Reading defender attacking it on the run is top drawer.
2. Ashley Young skill juggle defence
After tracking back and winning the ball, Young was trapped in the United corner. To get out, he flicks the ball up, juggles it a few times and clears on the volley. Real time angles here
3. Robin van Persie skill
Stunning. Beautiful. Robin van Persie. Watch.
4. Robin van Persie pass
Just minutes after his amazing piece of skill, the Dutchman pulled out this stunning cross field pass to Nani. Class.
5. Nani run
It was great to see Nani find some form as on his day he is a valuable player for United. Frustrating and unpredictable to watch it must be even harder to defend against him but when he gets it right he creates. This run shows great pace, strength, skill and a pass played at the right time. More of this until May please Nani.

On another note, Valencia dip of form is really alarming. What happen to him,big big lack of confidence.
Nani was outstanding and maybe ferguson is doing the right thing to get the best out of him and i would not be surprised if he grab a place in the squad when taking on Real.

I think as we enter the crucial period of the season, getting nani back refreshed is a masterstroke by Sir Alex. With the bag of skills he has and the creativity he possess, it will give our future opposition something to think about. Let hope this will be a start of more good things to come from our no. 17!
